The Millennium Highway and West Coast Road Reconstruction Project is a major infrastructure initiative upgrading critical transportation corridors in Saint Lucia. Funded by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Fund (UKCIF) and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), with co-financing from the Government of Saint Lucia, this US$43.3 million project aims to enhance resilience, improve safety, and promote socio-economic development.
The project also responds to Saint Lucia’s increasing vulnerability to climate change, integrating slope stabilization, drainage enhancement, and design upgrades to mitigate the impacts of flooding and landslides.
